Hosted at the York Racecourse the summer ball is THE event to attend during the academic year. With two stages at the venue, we will see student bands and the secret line up we’re about to release are about to bring the vibes to the summer ball.
You can expect to see fairground rides, carnival games and street food, an in house casino and a silent disco plus much more. The summer ball has it all and that’s why tickets have been sold out for weeks.
With tickets flying off the website the demand to attend the ball is astounding, people begging on snapchat to stories to messages in course group chats, those who missed out on tickets are feeling the hurt. Unfortunately, this article is just going to add to the disappointment of missing out. With an amazing line up being announced on the Student Union instagram, we have been given the amazing opportunity to share the set list for the York Parties x Voodoo Events Main Stage.

- Marcel Somerville (DJ Set)
- Big Narstie
- Lucy Spraggan
This line up was one to anticipate and I’m most excited for the Olivia Rodrigo/ Sabrina Carpenter tribute act and Please Please Please can I not meet any Manchild’s at the ball because that would be Brutal and Love is Embarrassing.
Lucy Spraggan is one of our big headliners this year, most famous for Last Night (Beer Fear) that she performed on X-factor in 2012. I know everyone’s seen that clip.
‘Last night I told ya I loved ya..Woke up, blamed it on the vodka.’ Hopefully you won’t relate to those lyrics by the end of the night… Avoid your situationships ladies you want to wake up not regretting missing the ball for a man.
Here at York Vision we can’t wait to see the acts performing on the night and are so excited for everything else the ball has to offer. We hope to see you there too, dressed to impress and having the night of your life. Last year’s ball was the best night I had in my first year of uni. Hopefully this year can outshine it.
