The LUSing really turned up this Roses with a fabulous display of their musical talent.

Their set opened with the classic ‘American Idiot’ by Green Day. Accompanied by their band, nine singers took centre stage, singing the punk anthem to an energetic crowd.

Following this, we saw ‘Rio’ by Duran Duran bringing a bit of ‘Brummy’ to Lancaster. You could almost be fooled that it was sunny, with the band rocking sunglasses in their seemingly effortless performance.

Next came an original song called ‘Endings’ which we were assured was a true story. It was a beautifully written song, sung deliberately and full of emotion.

We saw the nine singers return to the stage here, performing ‘Linger’ by the Cranberries. The crowd really began to grow here, a testament to their talent, with passersby stopping to sing along with the group.

Then we had a duet by Harry and Ella singing ‘Just Two Girls’ by Wolf Alice. Both singers performed well, and Harry’s accompaniment on the piano made it a really soulful piece.

The Last Dinner Party’s ‘Burn Alive’ came next, sung with the strength required for such a powerful song, making it a fabulous rendition.

Then a trumpet feature in Gloria Gaynor‘s ‘I Will Survive’, showed off the group’s musical abilities as well their obvious vocal talent. The sun finally showed itself, which only reflected the joyous atmosphere the band had created.

The show ended with the nine singers returning to the stage to perform ‘Blame It on the Boogie’ by The Jacksons. Sporting the famous Jackson gloves, we had a crowd that could not stay still for the ultimate groove tune to finish their set.

Overall, it was an incredible performance!
