York SU have appointed York Parties x Voodoo Events the Nightlife provider of York SU’s Official Club Nights for the next three years after a competitive tendering process.
The York SU Official Club Night partnership between York Parties x Voodoo Events will involve four student clubs nights per week including Wednesdays at Club Salvation, Thursdays at Flares, Fridays at Club Salvation and Sundays at Revolution. Additional optional opportunities will be available for colleges, societies and sports clubs.
York SU have committed to extensive student safety measures as part of the new contract including enhanced security measures, extensive CCTV coverage, regular campus drop-in sessions and free spiking prevention items.
The tender process involved three applications which took place throughout March and April.
Students were invited as part of the tender process to share their thoughts and priorities for York SU Official Club Nights in future years.
Applicants were interviewed by a panel of York SU staff and York SU Officers and then met with a student focus group for continued discussions.
Under the new contract with York Parties x Voodoo Events, York SU Official Club Nights in 2025/26 will be:
- Sundays at Revolution
- Student ID required for entry
- A search station on entry
- Specific student drink pricing, including a minimum pricing policy to combat binge drinking
- Society and sports club sponsorships available
- Wednesdays at Club Salvation
- University bus stop and taxi rank outside the venue
- Searches and bag checks at entry
- Fully-trained first aider on site at all times, plus a dedicated first aid room and in-house welfare officers
- Thursdays at Flares
- Student-exclusive event
- Themed weeks designed to highlight special events and themes throughout the year, organised in collaboration with students
- Fridays at Club Salvation
- Student ID required for entry
- Free Spikey bottle tops and drink covers available for all students
- Staff fully trained to support with mobility and accessibility requirements
