URY will be creating a wide range of York SU Elections coverage this year. The URY News Team is investigating the big questions surrounding SU Elections, analysing the data from previous years and speaking to students to analyse which students contribute most to voting and democracy in York, who does not vote and why, and what students really care about when it comes to elections. Our main broadcast will be Candidate Interview Night on the 25th of March from 7PM, where student journalists will analyse candidates’ manifestos live on air, and put the questions and issues that really matter to students directly to candidates running for every role. URY will also be broadcasting Elections Results Night live on air and online alongside YSTV, announcing the winners of this year’s York SU Sabbatical Officer elections!
