COVID-19 Booster Centre Opens on Campus

Pre-booked appointment slots will be available until December 31.

The University of York has announced that an on-campus vaccine clinic will be open until 31 December, as one of a number of new pop-up booster clinics opened in York.

In an email to students, the University said: “All these sites are for pre-booked appointments only and you can book slots on the NHS website.

“We also know some of you will not yet have an NHS number and so cannot book via the national booking site. If you do not have an NHS number we have also arranged for a number of spaces each day at the on-campus clinic that can be booked directly via Eventbrite.”

For students not in York over the winter break, the University said: “If you are eligible, please make sure you have had your booster before returning to York.”

The City of York Council has also called for volunteers to support the COVID-19 booster campaign, and the University said: “The Council are particularly looking for anyone with clinical skills (anyone with a nursing or medical background) or administrative skills – anyone who is comfortable using a computer.”

Students can sign up by completing this form and by emailing it to [email protected].
