The University of York has announced that 66 and 67 buses are now free between campuses, ahead of a full return to normal timetables next year.

First Bus have confirmed to the University that they will be reintroducing both buses as frequent links between the city centre and the University from the start of next term.

Buses are expected to run every seven to eight minutes at peak times, however the University says that First Bus are still in the process of finalising their timetable offer.

The UB2 service, which First Bus say was introduced at the start of this academic year to better enable social distancing, will not operate, and isn’t expected to return.

The UB1 is also ending as it does every Summer, and will return in the new term.
