2014 sees the birth of the Satellite Tour – a group of freshly signed artists touring some of the smaller and often neglected venues in the UK. This includes York’s very own Duchess on the 10th of February. 2014’s group of promising bands are Eliza and the Bear, Sons and Lovers and Fred Page.
Eliza and the Bear have been lighting up arenas across the UK having been invited on tour with Paramore by Hayley herself. Their new single ‘It Gets Cold’ is a perfect example of their energetic brand of folk-pop. Sons and Lovers have just released their compelling and unique electro-pop song ‘Ghosts’ as a free download and have recently supported the Naked and Famous on a UK tour. Fred Page has been introducing himself and his guitar on the London circuit and his emotional and haunting song ‘WARS’ is available to listen to online, with a single due for release soon.
