Have you seen him? Police appeal for information about missing York student

Police are urgently asking for information about the whereabouts of a missing York student.

20-year-old Ethan Peters was last seen near Revs late on Sunday night.

A team of police scuba divers will begin searching the River Foss on Wednesday afternoon in relation to his disappearance.

"The last confirmed sighting of Mr Peters was at 11.55pm on Coney Street, York on Sunday 2 October," North Yorkshire Police said.

Police inspector Martin Metcalfe said the student's disappearance was "completely out of character."

"We’re also continuing to appeal for the public’s help are keeping an open mind with regards to the investigation," he added.

"I’d like to reiterate our appeal for information today, it’s vital that anyone who thinks they may have seen Ethan since Sunday or has any other information contacts us immediately.”

Ethan Peters is described as slim, 1.75 meters tall, with dark brown hair. “He was last seen wearing glasses, jeans or chinos, a black jacket and a navy blue polo shirt."

The third year Goodricke film and television student is understood to live in the Hull Road area.

University officials confirmed they were "providing appropriate support to his friends and are liaising with the police who are in contact with his family.”

Update: Ethan Peters body has been found in the River Foss. The appeal is no longer ongoing.
