  1. These are nice. But i’m not convinced as to the level of talent required in their taking. it seems they are primarily pictures which were simply ready for the taking. I’m fairly certain anyone could go out on a foggy day and capture some equally nice images

  2. There was a brilliant picture looking along the Vanbrugh-James bridge which won a prize in the Vision photography competition a year or two back.

  3. Bob, you tool; go back to your hole.

Some great images with real character. The half-finished bridge one is my favourite (although I can’t quite work out what the red lines are on the left).

  4. Cheers Donald! The lines on the bridge pic due to a biker going past. They had a blinking red light on the back of the bike, so with the lens open for about ten seconds it created a neat dashed lighting effect :-)

Bob, I’m only an amateur so any pics I take are purely for fun. I try my best though! :-) Cheers for the feedback!

  5. Donald,

I guess in your oppinion people rn’t entitled to a point of view?

Being the worlds leading authority on photography you’re probably right…

oh wait! Ur not the worlds leading authority! so forgive me if I give your oppinion as little credit as you gave mine. Perhaps a little more time absorbing what others think and less spouting your own, fairly uneducated, views.

    Thom,

fair play. wasn’t trying to be overly critical, was just saying what I saw.

wouldn’t want you you to stop!

  6. No problemo!

It’s cool that my pics have instilled such strong feelings in you that you keep coming back to comment! I appreciate you taking time out of your day.
Out of curiosity, what kind of photography do you do Bob? Any chance I could see some of your work? Perhaps I could learn something!

    Cheers! :-)

    Kind regards,
    Thom.s

  7. Bob stop being a naughty boy, you’re only angry at the world because I took your camera off you for taking pictures of your winkie

  8. I think Bob has made a fair point badly. I like the pictures alot but I agree with what Bob says in his first comment. Maybe that isn’t the point though and we should just enjoy the images!

Donald, I don’t think you should call someone names for simply saying what they are thinking. Debate surrounding art is important and shouldn’t be stifled

  9. I find the way the fog disperses the light creates very interesting images. Plus long exposures at night are always excellent!

  10. I don’t see what the fuss is about here. The picture are mediocre, the person who took them clearly has no real talent. What’s more, all the people who have come on supporting him are obviously his friends! Which is pretty sad all in all

  11. As if, Goodricke bridge still has that scaffolding on. That was there seven years ago.
