Get Your Twins Out For The Lads

Two contestants from the current series of Take Me Out are due to come to campus as part of RAG week. Sam and Cat Wilkinson will take part in Halifax Take Me Out on Sunday Week 4, where they will join other single girls on campus to find an eligible bachelor.

The event is organised by Mark Young, Vice-President of Services and President Davedass Mootanah, with the latter telling Vision: “Halifax’s Take Me Out Valentines Special is a whole night-out package – we have drinks deals at the Courtyard for attendees and a VIP afterparty at Revs on re-launch night with a VIP area for those who attended Take Me Out.”

Both Sam and Cat, 20, are still at university themselves, studying Geography at Manchester and Fashion and Band Management at the University of Central Lancashire respectively. Since appearing on the show, the twins, also known as SamCat have been subject to a tirade of abuse on Facebook and Twitter, with most insults questioning their intelligence.

The prospect of the twins coming to York has already excited many male students on campus. Long-term bachelor Cameron Craig told Vision: “One of the twins has the exact face I look for in a girl so I’ll probably try and chat her up at the after party.”

Neither girl has been in a long-term relationship, but Sam is said to like “rugby players” whereas Cat prefers “skinny boys.”

Take Me Out is a popular programme on ITV1, especially with students. The format consists of a man trying to impress thirty single women for the chance of going on a date with one of them. The female contestants are encouraged to turn their light off if they decide they do not want to go on a date with the man, prompting host Paddy McGuiness’s popular catchphrase “No likey, no lighty.”

Halifax Take Me Out will be filmed by YSTV with money being raised for RAG on the night.

  1. “Halifax Take Me Out promises to be the biggest event of RAG week.”

Apart from the fact it’s not actually part of RAG Week, or a RAG Event, and that RAG have a full programme of events including say, a 2,000 student Viking Raid and a 3,000 student Parade as well as four other big events.

Nevermind Paul, one day you’ll get a story right…

  2. I think it is great that you are promoting events on campus but a few corrections are needed on the article. The event isn’t part of RAG week and credit must go to the HCSA. From my understanding the Halifax RAG reps will be there promoting rag week, selling tickets and raising money doing things on the night. Proceeds are going to the HCSA not sadly not RAG.
Keep your eyes peeled for the RAG week launch soon…………
    Thanks,

  3. Who wrote that haha?! It was all Daveds and Mark’s organisation last year and this year is gonna be even bigger and better!
