Campaign in three words: Promotion Engagement Accountability
What’s the most important part of your manifesto?
I think much more needs to be done to promote the ways students can affect YUSU policy, so that awareness and engagement increases.
How do you differ from the other candidates?
Lots of policy experience including being chair of the York Student Think Tank and having a policy paper published by the Institute for Public Policy Research.
What was your favourite thing the previous officer did and why?
Turning the role of Union Chair into Policy Coordinator, because I think it is a positive change that was needed.
What’s the most important thing about the role you are going for?
Facilitating the democratic aspects of YUSU.
How are you campaigning?
Facebook, posters, talking to people.
What do you like the most about York?
The ducks.
