Campaigning for YUSU Elections begins

YUSU elections featuredCampaigning for the latest YUSU Election has begun.

Placards, banners, Twitter accounts and Facebook pages have been set up as more than 50 candidates battle to convince students to back them in one of the 18 positions up for grabs.

Full-time officer candidates will kickstart their next stage of action tonight at the Roger Kirk Centre where they will vie for votes in a special debate.

URY will host their own candidates’ night featuring both full and part-time officer candidates this Friday.

Undergraduates and postgraduates will go to the polls during Week 8 to decide their student union team for the next academic year.

The results of this year’s YUSU Elections will be announced on Friday 27 February.
