Well, double win for York in the same area. On one side, there was an intense match of women’s handball, in which York won by a single point. On the other, women’s 2nd for squash was destroying Lancaster, so a double victory for me when reporting!
With a final score of 0-5, York came out with a clear victory, despite Lancaster’s efforts, leading to another early morning win for York.
Despite the ending win for York, for a game like squash, it was not obvious that York would win. In racquet sports like these, a change can occur at any point. Nonetheless, York continued to steal points from Lancaster, which led them to such an incredible win, with not a single point going to Lancaster.
Another point to note was the incredible crowd early in the morning, supporting the players, with the balcony reaching full capacity.
