York’s women’s volleyball 1st team lost 3-2 to Lancaster in an extremely close volleyball match.
The game was highly competitive, with Lancaster leading 2-0 after the first two sets. However,
Lancaster won the first set 25-21 in a tightly contested game.
Lancaster furthered their lead in the second set with a 25-17 win over York. The set began very evenly contested between the two sides, with neither Lancaster or York being more than 2 points ahead for very long. However, Lancaster were able to increase their lead towards the end of the set and take advantage of some inconsistent serves from both teams.
However, the momentum of the game shifted in the third set with York winning 25-8 . This set featured the longest rally of the game so far and York maintained a significant lead throughout the set. York kept the momentum in their favour and won the fourth set 25-21. This set up a very exciting tiebreaker set, which ended 17-15 to Lancaster.
