    Wow – Carney, Abir and T.S. Taylor, the 3 Joketeers. T. S. Taylor’s manifesto point on Nightline makes me sick. One thing is a joke, another thing is mocking an amazing service that students do for free out of their own time.

    Is anyone else confused as to why Jason Rose is still allowed to run in these elections?

    A moonbase! How I have longed for such visionary representation!

    What does it say about our confidence as a university not to have a moonbase?

    TST is not mocking nightline, he wants it to be a 24 hour service.

    There is a big difference between being a joke candidate and including jokes in a manifesto. T.S. Taylor seems to be having fun while putting forward some important, attainable and ultimately logical points.
    Do you really want a humourless YUSU prez? I don’t.

    @to be honest

    Once upon time, in a land far far away, a bored student looked out of his/her window and thought “why not protest for absolutely no reason, about nothing?”. That moment, YUSU was born. To this day, no-one has any idea what YUSU is meant for, so we just keep it here to make us look a little more organised.

    As you can see, we failed miserably. And now we just have a big embarrassment instead.

  • CM Punk says:

    Fascinating how people respond to pro-TST comments by clicking dislike rather than engaging with his actual policies. Guess it shows that people are conservative because they are unwilling to engage with progression and something different, not due to sheer intellectual cowardice, which…I guess is a good thing.

  • Jason Rose says:

    You could always propose a Union motion to edit the constitution to say “all full Union members except Jason Rose” and then define “Jason Rose”. You’d probably have to get confirmation from Democracy Committee, YUSU President and the Trustee Board but there’s no logical legal reason for it to be blocked. And then it’s just getting 300 people to vote yes :P

    In the meantime, I’m still allowed to run because I’m still a student of the university. Just in case there was any actual confusion as opposed to banter.
