Prince Harry to read History of Art from September

Prince Harry will undertake a part-time Masters degree (MA) in History of Art at the University of York this autumn.

Professor Liz Prettejohn, head of the History of Art department at the University, made the announcement via her Twitter feed in the early hours of this morning.

The Royal Household has since confirmed the news.

Prince Harry will turn 30 on September 15th, exactly two weeks before he is due to start his MA degree at York.

He studied his A-levels at Eton College, achieving a B in art and a D in geography. He dropped his third subject – History of Art – after his AS exams.

Students have reacted with mixed feelings to the news. Tom, a second year Biochemistry student told Vision: “This is a really exciting development for York. For Harry to be coming here shows that the University’s reputation is really on the rise, and this can only add to it further.”

Kamilla, a first year of PEP, disagreed: “This is pure nepotism. With those A-Level grades Harry shouldn’t be let anywhere near any University. It’s a real kick in the teeth for all those who’ve worked hard to get their required grades.”

Prince Harry, who is 4th in line of succession to the British throne, began a military career which has included officer training at Sandhurst before he served in Afghanistan on two occasions.

But it appears the Prince now wishes to stay closer to home, with speculation intensifying that he will propose to girlfriend Cressida Bonas in the coming months.

The Department of History of Art at York is an internationally recognised centre for study and research, which offers an interdisciplinary approach to the visual arts, architecture and art theory.

Stephanie, a first year Physicist asked: “Can I change my degree to History of Art?”

Prince Harry is yet to comment publicly.

Happy April Fools day! Prince Harry is sadly not studying here (to our best knowledge).

  1. Is this the best the cumulative minds at Vision could come up with?

  2. Your great commander will be returning to rid the university of the imposter.
    Long live Kim Jong Chun.

  3. at least spare some time to come up with a more believable story…..like the ducks have become militant as a result of one too many 1st years falling in the pond.
