Google Maps offers users the chance to become ‘Pokémon Master’

Yesterday, Google Maps released a video on its YouTube channel, outlining the most ”rigorous test known to man”: to find the ultimate Pokémon Master.

To take part in the competition, simply download the latest version of Google Maps to your iPhone or Android, go to the search function and tap ”Press Start”. Applicants who catch all 150 Pokémon, before 2:00 PDT on April 2nd, will be invited to Google’s headquarters to participate in a final round of hiring. The winner will supposedly start at Google on September 1st, with the title ‘Pokémon Master’.

There seems to be a 100% success rate in catching the Pokémon and there is nothing you can really do with them, other than admire their weight, height, type and picture in your Pokédex.

Then again, people enjoy Flappy bird, so what do I know?

Check out the video here.

  1. So…You didn’t get that the job position was a joke? It’s at the end of the video…ooops?

  2. ‘Supposedly start at google’. I didn’t think I needed to spell it out for you. :)
