What’s the most important part of your manifesto?
Student-led input – Supporting Course Reps and Department Reps and making representation about wider consultation not just who shouts the loudest.
How do you differ from the other candidates?
Experience working with the University and NUS to get things done and create change for our members
What was your favourite thing the previous officer did and why?
Department Reps, having been worked on for a while within YUSU all Departments now have a lead representative to ensure the Academic Officer knows what to work on.
What’s the most important thing about the role you are going for?
The most important part of Uni is your degree, the academic officer has to work hard to ensure the University listens to students’ views.
How are you campaigning?
There’s no real one way to do it, but look out for some big blue G’s on campus.
What do you like the most about York?
All of the fantastic people that I’ve met, who came here to study and who are going to do some remarkable things in their lives.
What’s the best slogan you can think of for your campaign?
Probably some annoying pun on my surname.
What do you think about York Vision?
Vision really is one of the two best campus newspapers.
