The winner of the competition to choose the official College Varsity slogan was revealed today. College Sport Officer Dave Washington was pleased to announce that Ale Uylet’s phrase “Two Historic Cities, One Historic Weekend” came out on top.
The slogan will be used in conjunction with forthcoming promotions and advertising for the inaugural sporting event against colleges from Durham University, which will be held in York on Sunday 2nd March.
In other developments, tickets for the official after-party at Revolution have gone on sale, as well as varsity memorabilia and merchandise which are available for purchase through the YUSU website. There is also a current offer of a “spectator package”, which includes tickets to the closing ceremony in the Roger Kirk Centre, a t-shirt and entry to Revs, all for £5.
