Apprentice Competition to Return to York

The York Entrepreneurs flagship event, The York Apprentice, is set to return to campus for the fourth consecutive year later this term.

The event, which the York Entrepreneurs promise will be bigger and better than last year’s event, will take place in Week 7 this term and will see 16 teams of York students competing for a whopping £1200 cash prize.

Despite the event being in its fourth year, the organisers have assured people that it will be as fresh as ever: “this year’s apprentice will see the best bits from last year’s event as well as some new and exciting ideas.”

The week long contest will kick off on Monday 7th June with a launch party featuring a selection of guests from all over the country representing various enterprise and business organisations.

A special guest star has also been promised, although, apart from a few tantalizing hints, his/her identity is currently under-wraps. “We are particularly excited about the special guest speaker we have lined up for the launch event, who has been a staple for all the apprentice’s shown on the BBC.”

Last year’s event also raised over £3300 for a local charity known as “The Newlife Foundation” with organisers confident that this year’s event will be just as successful.

Further details on the event can be found here as well as on the entrepreneurs’ own website here.

Obviously no one from Vision is on the YSTV mailing list, everyone on that knows who it is!

  2. Or maybe Vision do know but just aren’t willing to ruin the surprise.
