Hosted by York graduate, Bailey Bubbles of The Family Shambles, this event has been dubbed “York’s biggest drag competition”.

Bailey will be joined by a panel of judges, including Bodie Snatcher, Wilhelmina Rose, and last year’s winner, Lois Carmen Denominator.

Last year, Lois walked away with £50 cash, a drag gift bundle, and a paid guest slot at a future event hosted by The Family Shambles. She has since joined The Family Shambles and is now a regular at their events.

The event supports local drag and is a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals.

York-based queen Luna Hex won the first round of this year’s competition, which took place on the 5th of May.

The winner of this year’s competition will receive a styled wig, a paid gig with The Family Shambles, and a £500 cash prize.

The competition continues on the 19th of May and 2nd of June from 8pm upstairs in the ‘River Room’ at Yates York.
