York have won Roses 2015, extending their winning home streak to 30 years.

The Carter James Trophy was secured for the hosts just after 1pm today when York won the cross country event.

The score as York reached the threshold needed for victory was 186-89.

The closing ceremony is at 6pm today following the men’s rugby union 1sts game, where York will be presented with the Carter James Trophy for the 26th time in Roses history.

The last time Lancaster won away was in 1985.
