Recommended by folk-pop legend Ben Howard himself, Brother and Bones’ eclectic and indefinable alt-rock noise is not a gig to be missed.

Having spent 2012 playing sell-out shows and appearing at Brixton as Ben Howard’s special guests, the five-piece’s upward trajectory just keeps getting sheerer. 2013 sees the release of their latest EP ‘To Be Alive’, which showcases the band’s unique blend of acoustic folk and alternative rock.

Formed in just 2011 from the streets of London, the talent of gifted musicians Richard Thomas, Si Robinson, James Willard, Yiannis Sahinis and Robin Howell-Sprent has gained them appreciation and acclaim throughout the country. This autumn and winter sees them touring Europe with gigs from Edinburgh to Amsterdam, eagerly followed by their devoted fan base.

Their sound departs from the conventions of rock by pairing the genre with acoustic guitar, courtesy of front man Richard Thomas. They create a sound that is impossible to categorise, scouring multiple genres for influence, with material ranging from soulful acoustic ballads to grittier, rockier songs. Their live shows are legendary, so expect a riotous night and prepare to be swept away by the unstoppable energy of Brother and Bones.

Brother and Bones play at The Duchess on Tuesday 19th November.
