College: Vanbrugh College
Year: Current Sabb
Campaign in three words: More, More, More!
What’s the most important part of your manifesto?
The bit where I say that my ideas are gonna change the world. I also come with BONUS FEATURES (see the actual manifesto for some more info).
How do you differ from the other candidates?
I guess I have the most experience? There’s also the fact that when I ran last year I was very much the outsider (I wasn’t a student politician to say the least!) and despite having been inside “the system” for a year I think that I still have that spirit; I’m in this for all the right reasons.
What was your favourite thing the previous officer did and why?
Probably the fact that no matter how busy the office gets he always has time to talk to somebody. Also he had nice scarves.
What’s the most important thing about the role you are going for?
Well, as well as the above, communication! You gotta make sure everybody knows what’s going on in our little world; be it colleges, societies, sports whatever, we should all be on the same page.
How are you campaigning?
Well I’ll probably just do what I did last time: talk to everyone to the point of irritation, scatter campus with crappy puns and then (as a last resort) crack the trumpet out.
What do you like the most about York?
The people. You never really know what to expect!
What’s the best slogan you can think of for your campaign?
Oh god, I am so bad at this sorta thing. I’ll go with “More More More! How would you like it?” but that’s not my final answer!
What do you think about York Vision?
It’s like a slightly more serious version of The Lemon Press.
