Chemical accident in Uni science lab
Ambulance called after explosion of dangerous chemicals
Emergency services rushed to campus today after an accident in the Chemistry Department.
So far no official statement has been given, however, early reports suggest a flask of dangerous chemicals exploded onto a person inside a C block laboratory. The incident happened at around 4:30 this afternoon.
A witness leaving the building revealed that an injured person has been taken to hospital.
An investigation is currently under way and more information will be updated as soon as possible.
